3 Insights For A Deeper, Supernatural Christian Walk

Mike & Andrea Brewer

Are you aware of these 3 insights that create a deeper walk in the supernatural?

Why do so many Christian believers feel stuck?

Year after year, so many great people deal with the same problems never advancing into all that Christ has for them. I don’t have all the answers, but I do know three keys that propelled me into a deeper walk with the Holy Spirit. Let me share a brief insight into the place I was personally when breakthrough began to happen in my life.

It was a normal day and I was doing the “good Christian thing” by reading my bible. Most likely, I was on the yearly reading plan. You know... the one all “good Chrisitans” start every January! But this day was different. As I was reading, I began to question the reality of what I was reading. Scriptures like Matthew 10:7-8 seemed to be highlighted to me. Read it and see what you think:

Matthew 10:7-8 (NIV)

7 As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ 8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.

As I meditated on this scripture, I began to ask myself, “Am I supposed to be used to heal the sick? Raise the dead? Cast out demons? What? Did the followers of Christ in the New and Better Covenant actually do these things?”

That day while seated in my living room, I didn’t have the answers to all the questions I had swirling in my mind. So I turned to Jesus with the following prayer:

“Lord, I don’t see a lot of the supernatural around me, but if you want to use me in a greater way...to actually cast out demons and heal the sick...Lord, even to raise the dead, just feel free to do so. Here I am”.

Little did I know that I would be propelled into a life of the supernatural. Yes, I had a lot to learn but I began to engage. Oh, maybe you would like to pray that prayer as well. Here was the process that began shortly after that simple prayer on another, typical day.
